Planning out each person's role

The idea behind this project was to create an installation of a ball-jointed object. My group and I designed a clam that opened up to reveal a ball shaped pearl inside. This project was designed to relieve stress and for relaxation purposes and to create a comforting environment for one to sit or even sleep in. It was meant to be an immersive experience where one would sit inside the clam that had cushions inside and LED lights to create ambiance. The surrounding space was meant to include seaweed, projection of ripples of water and ocean sounds in the background filling up the space. As a consequence, these factors create the effect of one being with nature and almost experiencing nature firsthand. However, due to the short amount of time we had to complete this project, we had to ditch the intricate plan and create a clam chair that could open and close to reveal a pearl inside.
